Program CoordinatorDenver County Court is seeking a Program Coordinator to support competency programming, including the Competency Support Docket (CSD) and Competency Diversion Program (CD).Denver County Court's Competency Diversion program serves individuals with misdemeanor and felony level offenses, while the Competency Support Docket is specific to individuals with misdemeanor charges. Both the docket and CD program work to identify individuals who are not likely competent to proceed and divert or deflect them to community mental health treatment and services, resulting in the dismissal of charges, and thus reduces the filing of formal competency in the Court system.This position coordinates and works in collaboration with the Program Manager, stakeholders across the criminal justice system, case managers, and treatment providers to support court programming and program participants. The coordinator will primarily focus on data collection and collaboration with program stakeholders.The coordinator reports directly to the Program Manager.
As a Program Coordinator, you can expect to:Assist with the implementation, operation and sustainability of Competency Diversion and the Competency Support DocketPerform administrative support to ensure program success, including: receiving case and program referrals – enter into tracking system, track status, and update outcomes; receiving daily competency filings at Municipal and State levels - enter into tracking system, update outcomes of competency hearings and evaluationsConduct screening with referred individuals as neededTrack and maintain program data for Competency Diversion and Competency Support Docket. Assist with preparing programmatic and data reportsAttend weekly staffing meetings for Competency Diversion and Competency Support DocketAttend weekly docket and provide programmatic support to stakeholders and court participantsCoordinate efforts with program stakeholders and community providers for release planningCoordinate and communicate regularly with Competency stakeholders to implement, maintain, and support the Competency programmingOther duties as assignedThe office hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM at the Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse located at 520 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204.Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the following:Clinical social work licensure or candidacyKnowledge or experience with the legal competency process as it pertains to the courtKnowledge or experience of the court process and court databasesStrong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skillsExceptional follow-up, teamwork and relationship building skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong planning, organizational, and evaluation skills to assess program needs in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detailData entry and management experienceRequired Minimum Qualifications:Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of technical or administrative experience performing standard research and evaluation, case management, and/or implementing work processes.Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year experience.License/Certifications: NoneTo be considered for this position, Please include the following on your job application (upload the multiple attachment(s) to the Resume/CV section on the My Experience tab):Resume - RequiredCover Letter – RequiredThis position is expected to stay open until Sunday, September 27th, 2026.
