Program Analyst
The incumbent applies program knowledge, analytical and consultative skills to ensure that all program content on the KM portals (such as articles for MS programs, business processes, job aids, and standard operating procedures) is managed according to VA/VHA and KM protocols, and is current, accurate, accessible and useful to the target audience. Published KMS content is used enterprise wide as authoritative guidance for eligibility and enrollment decisions on Veteran health care and benefits. Major duties include (but are not limited to):
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assigned MS business line program offices and related VHA program offices on the policies, procedures and protocols for MS KM content
- Applies program knowledge and works closely with technical SMEs, such as MS team members, supervisors, senior management, and external key staff at Department of Veterans (VA) program offices, to ensure that KM content is current, accurate, and broad in coverage to address all veteran topical areas of concern supported by MS
- Reviews new/updated VHA program, policy and procedures; new/updated laws, rules, regulations, and VHA Directives/Handbooks, etc.
- Serves as an analyst and advisor to MS program office managers, supervisors, and program representatives concerning the effectiveness of their KM content
- Reviews data (such as number of visits or "hits" to the content site) and prepares reports on various KM issues
Work Schedule: 8 hour tour of duty, between the hours of 6am - 6pm.
Remote: This position is not authorized for remote work.
Telework: This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
Virtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work. Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to the return to in person work mandate in their current position.
Definition of Virtual work: Employee works outside of original hiring duty station at VA-owned or leased space.
Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in affect and selectees will be required to report to in person work unless they have an approved exemption already in place.
