We currently have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Memphis, TN location. Reporting to the Manager, Production, this position supervises production operations according to established priorities and schedules.

Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules.

Oversees multiple lines and provides direction to Hourly Coordinators and employees. Coordinate with other management for continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained.Provide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively.Oversee department specific sanitation operations as necessary to promote and maintain a clean and food-safe environment.Maintain and enforce GMP standardsEvaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.Participate in the support of plant and company safety programs, promoting and maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, etc.Executing the daily work schedule and posting overtime hours.Provides leadership and direction for plant Focused Improvement pillarAttend productions meetings.Respond to employee grievances.Ensure operation of manufacturing lines will meet performance standards for each product.Ensure all daily manufacturing documents are completed and accurate.Functions with limited direct supervisionQualifications:A four year degree in Business, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or Engineering preferred Other degrees will be consideredOne year supervisory experience in a food-processing, food packaging, or chemical industry requiredGood mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipmentAbility to work weekends and/or shift work (flexible to switch between 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift according to production schedule) with a strong work ethic and employment historyA self-motivated individual that is able to motivate, mentor, and train othersExcellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and follow through skillsStrong PC skills with MS office and ERP programsAbility to multi-task and set priorities within the departmentRichardson is recognized as a global leader in agriculture and food processing and has over 4,000 employees across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Europe.
