Carved out from Carrier's Fire & Security business in July 2024, Spectrum Safety Solutions is now a privately-held company under the ownership of Sentinel Capital Partners.The Production Manufacturing Technician is a key member of the Operations support team and uses education, experience, and the Det-Tronics Operating System to ensure the efficient performance of production equipment.This position reports directly to the Production Manager, collaborating with Test Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production Team.Specific responsibilities for this position include:Help develop and execute enhanced TPM SystemFirst line of support for "Line-Down" situationsUtilize troubleshooting skills to perform rework & repair of Equipment and product as assigned.Implement and maintain ESD mitigation and protection systems and equipmentAnalyze first pass yield data to identify trends in tester robustness, perform RRCA, and take action to correct Equipment issues and assure ongoing high quality/yield.Perform the initial troubleshooting of failures affecting equipment, fixtures and processes within the assigned product assembly line(s).
Assure proper resources are assigned to best resolve such issues.Assist with the implementation/Installation of new fixtures and equipment. Fill in required documentation and evaluation of new equipment and TPM plans.Actively participate in production improvement activities and proactively seek and suggest improvement opportunities.Monitor the progress of the production line and resolving any issues that ariseSetting up and operating production equipmentParticipate in the Det-Tronics Excellence Lean program.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Education/Experience:Two year technical degree or equivalentTwo or more years' experience working as a technician or technician's assistant performing test, calibration and/or repair of electronic assemblies and maintenance & repair of production equipment.Ability to troubleshoot and repair Electronic (PCB and Interconnect), Electro-mechanical, and light mechanical equipmentKnowledge of ESD protection processes and practicesPreferred Education/Experience:Experience designing and/or building test fixturesRelevant programming experience/knowledgeExperience supporting assembly lines and process improvements.Problem-solving skills.Good powers of observation.A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.Ability to provide training.
