Production LeadResponsible for supporting production operations in producing high quality, food safety products by guiding production resources, materials, processes and equipment. Ensures that workstations are restocked and sanitized ready for the next shiftWorks with other leads, supervisors and managers to plan and prepare production schedule to meet deadlinesSupports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer serviceTrains and cross trains associates following a training matrix and rotation scheduleConducts pre-operational and post-operational inspectionInforms appropriate personnel on the status of items being producedReports employee absentees, tardiness to Supervisor or ManagerEnsures production schedule is completed in a timely manner verifies and closes all production batchesAssists in inventory management (ie, Cycle Count, Adjustments, Inventory Movement, Manufacturing) using WMS System – Mobe3Works with Bakery Supervisor or Manager in planning the production and line balancingCompletes a work order request for any maintenance issues that arise during the shiftEnsures all issues are communicated to Supervisor or ManagerAssists in testing new recipesParticipates in training and continuous improvement effortsRecords operations or production data using the Production Control ReportsPerforms other duties as assigned (i.e., process improvement project and other special projects)SkillsRepresents the company brand image and shares aloha to all customers, business partners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the companyHigh School Diploma/GED requiredExperience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.Self-motivated and able to lead othersWorking knowledge of plant equipment and following safety proceduresHigh level verbal communication abilityAbility to work well with others and be a team-playerAbility to perform steady and productive work for an extended periodAble to understand and follow oral or written work instructionsPossesses basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentWears protective gear (uniform), including gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, hearing protection, hair nets, beard nets, etc.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Inside of a typical industrial facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, sound (decibels), odors, humidity and elevationsTeam members are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particlesContinuously lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, and squatting and repetitive motionsAble to sit, stand and walk throughout an 8 to 10-hour shiftSpecific vision abilities required by this position include close vision 20 inches or less, (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.

Distance vision 20 feet or more (not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
