Location: San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle
Industry: AI Infrastructure / Enterprise AI
Stage: Seed-stage startup
Overview
We’re partnering with a well-funded, early-stage AI company building a new platform at the intersection of AI infrastructure, security and enterprise software.
As businesses move from experimenting with AI to deploying models and agents in production, the need for secure, reliable and manageable AI infrastructure is growing rapidly. Our client is developing technology to simplify how organisations build, deploy and control their AI systems.
They’re looking for a Founding Product Lead to help turn an ambitious technical vision into a commercially viable product.
This isn’t a traditional Product Manager position. You’ll be directly involved in defining, designing, prototyping and launching the company’s first product, working closely with an experienced founding team.
The Opportunity
- Founding ownership: Help define the product, user experience and roadmap from the ground up.
- 0-to-1 product development: Take an early-stage concept through MVP, launch and initial customer adoption.
- Technical depth: Work across AI/ML infrastructure, model deployment, developer platforms and security.
- Hands-on execution: Combine product strategy with prototyping, design and day-to-day delivery.
- Experienced leadership: Work directly with founders who have successfully built and scaled major technology businesses.
- Meaningful equity: Join at seed stage with genuine ownership and long-term upside.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of translating the company’s technical vision into a product that customers can use and adopt.
Working closely with engineering, design and commercial stakeholders, you’ll drive everything from product requirements and user workflows to prototypes, MVP delivery and early customer feedback.
You’ll need to be equally comfortable discussing AI infrastructure architecture with engineers and building a prototype to demonstrate a new product feature.
Responsibilities
- Define the product requirements, workflows and user experience for an enterprise AI platform.
- Lead the development and launch of the company’s MVP.
- Translate complex AI infrastructure concepts into intuitive, usable product experiences.
- Build prototypes, demos and early product interfaces using modern development tools.
- Work closely with engineers and architects to shape technical decisions and prioritise development.
- Engage directly with early customers and design partners to validate requirements and refine the product.
- Own product execution, coordinating priorities and driving development through to delivery.
- Support early go-to-market activities, including product demonstrations, positioning and launch materials.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping technical software products.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML workflows, including model development, deployment and the broader AI lifecycle.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, AI infrastructure or similarly technical software.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and the challenges of deploying software across different cloud platforms.
- Proven ability to take complex technical requirements and turn them into practical, user-friendly products.
- Hands-on experience with product design, prototyping and working closely with engineering teams.
- Strong ownership mentality, with experience driving products from concept through delivery.
Nice to Have
- Experience taking a technical product from concept through MVP and early customer adoption.
- Background in AI infrastructure, MLOps, cloud security or developer tooling.
- Experience building products for developers, ML engineers or infrastructure teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Cursor, Claude Code, Replit or Lovable.
- Previous experience in an early-stage startup or working directly with design partners.
