Subscriptions is a vital part of Best Buy’s business model and its strategy for growing meaningful customer relationships.
Our team supports a substantial existing line of plans and subscriptions and is moving toward a modular, modern, platform to support new opportunities such as recurring paid membership, service plans, streaming and software subscriptions. We develop new subscription partnerships and offers that support an omni-channel experience; plan lifecycle, activation, and one-time or recurring billing. Subscriptions within our domain are defined by; software services, streaming, protection plans, and membership where BBY has a contract with the customer to provide the subscription and/or manage the recurring billing of the subscription.Project DescriptionThe Product Manager III is part of the Subscriptions team within the Digital, Analytics and Technology (DAT) org at Best Buy.
We are in the process of modernizing our systems while still maintaining business continuity from a data and reporting perspective. We are looking for a Product Manager to join us that will be responsible for data migration and data continuity between our new technology stack and the legacy system. This product manager will need to work with peers and cross functional stakeholders to understand the products we are supporting and how the data we generate supports the business needs.
They will also need to work with engineers to understand the data published, be responsible for the quality of the data that is transferred from the old system to the new. This individual must be able to work with multiple teams to ensure the data is setup accurately.Position Summary/Job DescriptionBelow are some of the responsibilities this product manager is expected to assume in their position:Working directly with business partners (internal and external) to fully understand their business problems and use that understanding to drive the Subscriptions platform priorities and delivery.Be able to clearly articulate goals and outcomes.Create and drive a roadmap that will show how business continuity will be maintained while propelling the business into a better way of obtaining data.Partner with individuals and influence without authority in order to get objectives met.Drive a culture of innovation and Build, Measure, Learn cycle in the team.Meeting with key stakeholders, listening to and understanding customer feedback, and responding to product suggestions.
