If they are local, they may be asked to be on a remote schedule.***1 SUB SLOTS IN BEELINE***  - Initial 12 months contract to start - Very likely to be longer-termed/ongoingThe App Growth team is working to elevate app experiences, increase app downloads and drive engagement with a view to deepening our relationship with customers by becoming more relevant in their lives.Project DescriptionAs a Product Manager on the App Growth team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of how Best Buy is disrupting retail, empowering the team to deliver innovative and human-centered customer experiences.

You will drive product strategy and development from concept to launch, while partnering closely with key internal teams and stakeholders, engaging in customer research, and executing data-driven prioritization. You’ll work with a team of product managers, UX designers, and engineers to design, build, and launch initiatives that address customer needs, business objectives, and deliver meaningful impact towards our key results.Position Summary/Job DescriptionResponsible for driving all strategy, new development, and performance enhancements for specific set of products within a product category. Manages the end to end product lifecycle from idea inception through development and launch.Education/Experience: - Bachelor degree in an IT-related discipline - PMP certification - preferred - 8-10 years experience managing projectsSkills and Competencies: - Strong skills in Microsoft Project to manage to a detailed project plan - Excellent follow up to ensure tasks are being delivered according to plan. - Understanding of website development and associated back-end connection task - Strong leadership skills - Strong communication skillsMajor Job Duties and Responsibilities- Lead development and implementation of product strategy: Incorporate deep understanding of customer insights, markets, competition, and distribution capabilities to define product strategy.

This should manifest itself in a roadmap of initiatives including small enhancement and content refreshments to existing products as well as new product needs - Measure product performance and lead performance improvement initiatives. Identify and understand the performance drivers and set up ongoing diagnostics and monitoring capabilities - Drive new product development – create sound business cases around all new products based on needs assessment and projected feasibility. Incorporate a user/customer centric approach to all development efforts. Engage appropriate product support teams and developers early in the process to capture full perspective in creating “best fit” products - Communicate product information: including product roadmap, specifications, value proposition, sales tools training tools and competitive information to stakeholders.

Provide status updates to PMO for regular reporting cycles. - Manage product lifecycles: continually evaluate product performance and key customer insights and ensure new product needs are identified far enough in advance to address needs before product obsolescence.Skills Overview:What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?4+ years experience in product management and strategy; ideally with experience in mobile apps, ecommerce, customer acquisition and/or product marketing4+ years experience working with product teams in an agile environment; i.e. working directly with product managers, user experience, engineering, business teams, and related disciplines to drive improvements to customer experience or business outcomes.
