Role Description The Private Wealth Advisor will provide tailored financial guidance to entertainment industry professionals and institutions participating in or connected to the Entertainment Finance Summit. This contract role is based in New York, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site client meetings and summit-related activities with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing individualized financial plans, assessing investment strategies, providing estate planning guidance, and coordinating with other advisors such as attorneys and accountants. The advisor will cultivate and manage client relationships, monitor portfolios, and align wealth strategies with clients’ entertainment-related income streams, risk profiles, and long-term goals. The role also involves staying current on trends in entertainment finance and communicating insights that support clients’ financial decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong financial planning capabilities, including experience in comprehensive Financial Planning and Estate Planning tailored to high-net-worth and entertainment-focused clients.
Proven expertise in Investments, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management across public and private market opportunities.
Demonstrated Business Relationship Management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.
Relevant professional credentials such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent designation, or progress toward such certification.
Prior experience advising clients in entertainment, media, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA, MS in Finance) are a plus.
High ethical standards, regulatory awareness, and familiarity with wealth management compliance requirements.
