Our client is an $20bn asset manager looking to hire a senior associate on their private equity team. The team focuses on control investments in a diverse set of industries, geographies, and investment strategies.
Responsibilities
The senior associate will focus on investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management functions of the firm. Specific responsibilities include:
- Investment approval materials – Lead and coordinate investment memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee
- Industry research – Conduct research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
- Financial analysis – Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies
- Third party diligence – Facilitate diligence activities with third-party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants)
- Portfolio management – Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of total experience, with at least two years of private equity experience
- Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or mathematics discipline
- Experience in conducting research and due diligence, and producing “client ready” investment materials
- Strong quantitative aptitude with a high attention to detail
