Principal Systems EngineerBAE Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer with a strong software focus for System Integration efforts in support of our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The ideal candidate will be someone who can independently develop system verification strategy, demonstrate the behaviors to effectively communicate, coordinate, collaborate, and work in a visible and proactive manner across organizational boundaries to deliver positive results. As a Principal Systems Engineer for System Integration, your responsibilities span engineering technical authority and customer relationship management including:Engineering Technical CompetenceSupport the development and execution of the System Integration strategy. Perform system integration activities including the integration of digital models and software interfacesAct as a software SME for the Systems Integration team. Collaborate with internal and external partners to translate high-level system objectives into actionable steps to integrate the Navy weapon systemDevelop and execute independent Integration activities based on subsystem interface integration methods and generate design maturity, compatibility, and interoperability reportsEnsure engineering outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are metDevelop and present technical documentation, data, presentations, and white paper submissions to chief engineers for approval and then to the customersCustomer Relationship ManagementEstablish and maintain exceptional relationships with SES, GS-15, and GS-14 level US Navy customers/clients to solve technical problems and implement solutions of extremely high complexitySupport the customer in the execution of the Systems Integration process including Systems Engineering Technical ReviewsWorks closely with the customer to translate objectives into actionable plans and measurable deliverablesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
