This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, and includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.


Enterprise Product Strategy & Vision



  • Execute and contribute to the strategic vision for the Blue Market program, ensuring alignment with company‑wide objectives

  • Define and implement product strategies across multiple commodity portfolios

  • Incorporate DfM into enterprise‑level design rationalization to optimize Blue Origin's component database


Design Rationalization & Standardization



  • Lead cross‑Business Unit collaboration with engineering teams and Advanced Concepts & Engineering (ACE) to rationalize, standardize, and commonize designs

  • Incorporate DfM into standardized designs within the Blue catalogue, ensuring technical specifications are accessible and actionable

  • Challenge requirements and provide technical inputs to ACE enterprise design guides with a focus on reducing unique part numbers


Data‑Driven Execution & Analytics



  • Develop DfM KPIs that deliver actionable insights

  • Conduct rigorous data‑driven analysis to inform strategic decisions and recommendations

  • Translate complex technical and supply chain data into executive‑level insights


Strategic Sourcing Partnership



  • Partner with Strategic Procurement to develop and execute commodity‑specific sourcing strategies

  • Integrate technical requirements with commercial considerations to optimize total cost of ownership

  • Balance performance, reliability, and cost across the supply base


Innovation & Process Excellence



  • Lead development of customer‑focused, world‑class project management toolsets and methodologies

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate program execution

  • Pioneer integration of AI, automation, and advanced analytics into supply chain operations


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)

  • 10+ years of progressive technical leadership experience in aerospace or high‑reliability industries

  • Deep expertise in product design, manufacturing, and test

  • Strong working knowledge of configuration management systems, tools, and best practices

  • Proven success leading cross‑functional teams through complex, large‑scale engineering programs

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under aggressive timelines in dynamic, fast‑paced environments

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical information for various audiences (technical through executive level)

  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with demonstrated risk identification and mitigation experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of aerospace regulatory requirements, industry standards, and compliance frameworks

  • Financial acumen including budgeting, cost management, and program financial performance oversight

  • Experience driving organizational change and leading transformation initiatives

  • Proven ability to build and leverage networks across complex, multi‑functional organizations


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • Experience with manufacturing capability and methods

  • Direct experience with defense and/or commercial space programs

  • Demonstrated application of AI, machine learning, or automation tools in program/supply chain management

  • Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent continuous improvement certification


Compensation Range


WA applicants: $169,624.00 – $237,473.25
