Candidate Profile
- Education: Ph.D. in School Administration (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in K-12 education.
- At least 3 years in Islamic school environments.
- At least 3 years in a dedicated administrative leadership role.
- Qualifications: Proven track record of Islamic scholarship and acommitment to modeling excellence in professional and spiritual conduct.
Core Responsibilities
- Instructional Oversight: Conduct weekly classroom observations, audit lesson plans, and ensure high standards of classroom management.
- Pedagogical Mentorship: Guide faculty in modern instructional techniques, including lab integration and educational technology.
- Curriculum Quality: Monitor subject‑matter expertise and ensure all instructional materials align with Islamic values and accreditation standards.
- College Readiness: Oversee standardized testing (SAT/ACT) and track student progress to ensure competitive university placement.
- Academic Operations: Manage staffing assignments, the school calendar, and student placements.
Administration & Operations
- Personnel Management: Lead hiring recommendations and conduct annual performance evaluations for all staff.
- Islamic Environment: Uphold the school’s religious identity; supervise student conduct, attendance at Salah, and school assemblies.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the physical safety of students/staff and implement all policies set by the IQAMC and IANT Board of Directors.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for parents and the PTO; maintain a positive public image for IQA in all communications.
Fiscal Responsibility & Reporting
- Governance: Report directly to the IQAMC Chair and participate in BOD meetings.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor the school budget, conduct quarterly financial reviews, and ensure expenditures remain within approved limits.
- Institutional Advancement: Actively participate in IANT-sponsored fundraising initiatives.
Professional Development & Research
- Staff Training: Execute a comprehensive professional development plan for faculty.
- Collaborative Leadership: Working with an administrative team including an assistant principal, school counselors, department heads, and office staff.
- Strategic Benchmarking: Research and adapt best practices from leading regional schools to enhance IQA’s academic and spiritual framework.
