We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a cross-functional team in developing and releasing new GaN/GaAs technology, products, and processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments, including business units, designers, program managers, customers, and process and fabrication teams, to produce reliable RF Compound Semiconductor ICs that meet specific technology requirements.Responsibilities:Lead cross function team to develop new GaN/GaAs technology/product/process and qualify/release them to productionWork with business units, designers, program managers, customers, process and fabrication teams to produce reliable, RF Compound Semiconductor ICs that meet specific technology requirementsDevelop process flows and design elements to achieve required circuit performanceDesign corner experiments to identify the potential manufacturability issues and key process sensitivities to ensure released technology manufacturable and reliableDesign and Monitor in-line, DC and RF probe test functions, structures to support new technology and process production release.Collect, analyze, and use characterization data to verify new technology meeting specificationsIdentify, analyze, and resolve yield and performance limiting factors by identifying root causes and implementing improvementsDefined the design rules of the new GaN technology and process and their associated infrastructures to support new products.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics5+ years (or equivalent combination of an advanced degree and experience) experience working within process development/integration or yield enhancement in the semiconductor industryExpertise in developing process flows and design elements to achieve required circuit performanceAbility to design corner experiments to identify manufacturability issues and key process sensitivitiesExperience in designing and monitoring in-line, DC, and RF probe test functions and structuresExperience identifying, analyzing, and resolving yield and performance limiting factors by identifying root causes and implementing improvementsProficiency in collecting, analyzing, and using characterization data to verify new technology meets specificationsKnowledge of defining design rules for new technology and processes to support new productsPreferred Qualifications:Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics strongly preferredProven experience leading cross-functional teams in the development and release of new technology, products, and processesElectrical test experience (parametric, die sort, SPA)Understanding of statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), RF circuit functionalityFamiliarity with CAD (Mentor), analysis (Spotfire, JMP) and design toolsStrong computer-based skills (multiple platforms, OS, databases, programming languages)Experience with Compound Semiconductor ICs, RF testing, semiconductor physics and/or processing, understanding of GaN, GaAs, pHEMT, transistorsThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.Qorvo is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
