Position Summary

Four Ways Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Principal Full-Stack Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern enterprise applications powered by cloud technologies, microservices, and Generative AI. This is a senior technical leadership role requiring deep expertise across backend, frontend, cloud architecture, and AI-driven application development.

Detailed Job Description

As a Principal Full-Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and building highly scalable enterprise solutions across cloud-native platforms. You will lead the development of complex systems utilizing Java, Python, ReactJS, Node.js, microservices, and Generative AI technologies including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and agentic AI frameworks.

Working closely with architects, product teams, AI specialists, and business stakeholders, you will drive technical strategy, establish engineering best practices, and mentor development teams. The role requires strong experience delivering enterprise-scale applications, designing distributed systems, and integrating advanced AI capabilities into business solutions. Experience with Palantir Foundry and modern data platforms will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-scale full-stack applications.
• Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS and Azure services.
• Develop modern backend services using Java 17+ and Python.
• Build responsive frontend applications using ReactJS and related frameworks.
• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures.
• Develop and integrate Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and agent-based architectures.
• Collaborate with data engineering and AI teams to build intelligent applications.
• Lead software architecture reviews, design decisions, and technical governance.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Design and manage SQL and NoSQL database solutions.
• Mentor senior and mid-level software engineers.
• Support DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and cloud automation initiatives.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 17+ development.
• Advanced Python programming experience.
• Strong ReactJS development experience.
• Experience with Node.js application development.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and supporting cloud-native solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database expertise.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong software design, architecture, and system integration skills.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and technical leadership capabilities.

Generative AI Requirements

• Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Knowledge of vector embeddings and semantic search architectures.
• Experience designing Agentic AI workflows and autonomous AI systems.
• Understanding of AI application architecture, orchestration, and deployment models.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
