Principal Civil Structural Engineer

A leading organization in the mining and natural resources industry is seeking a Principal Civil & Structural Engineer to support the integrity, reliability, and continued development of large-scale industrial operations. Performance Objectives

• Lead civil and structural design projects while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, structural evaluations, and assessments of existing infrastructure.
• Develop and oversee execution plans for upgrades, expansions, and improvements to existing industrial facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, presentations, and project documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You’ll work alongside a highly experienced team of engineers, project professionals, and operations personnel supporting large-scale industrial assets. The role will utilize industry-standard structural design and analysis software and will have access to significant engineering and project resources.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• Experience in mining, heavy industrial, manufacturing, energy, or similarly complex industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Strong proficiency with structural analysis/design software and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
