Premium Billing Rep IIWe focus on your health and pay 100% for your family's medical insurance and provide 20 days of paid personal time off during your first year!Position SummaryThe Premium Billing Rep II is responsible for performing premium billing functions that involve increased complexity and require a higher level of knowledge, analysis, and judgment within established guidelines. This position processes premium billing transactions, researches and resolves billing discrepancies, maintains accurate billing records, and provides timely and professional service to internal and external customers.

The role works collaboratively with internal departments to support billing accuracy, department operations, and workflow continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess premium billing transactions, including payments, adjustments, and account updates, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing recordsResearch, analyze, and resolve billing discrepancies, including reconciliation of billing, eligibility, and payment variancesReview and maintain accurate account information and documentation within billing systems according to established proceduresSupport monthly premium invoice preparation and assist with identifying and resolving billing-related issuesRespond to premium billing inquiries from internal and external customers by phone, email, and in-person interactions in a professional and timely mannerCoordinate with internal departments to resolve account-related issues and maintain billing accuracyMaintain documentation to support reporting, compliance, and audit readinessApply knowledge of billing processes and procedures to identify issues, recommend solutions, and support operational efficiencyProvide backup support for billing functions and perform other related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum two (2) years of recent customer service and/or billing-related experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer systemsStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to perform mathematical calculations involving percentages, ratios, and account balancesAbility to use a ten-key machine by touchFamiliarity with computerized accounting and billing systemsStrong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skillsAbility to learn, adapt to, and effectively use billing systems, tools, and processesAbility to analyze information, resolve discrepancies, and exercise sound judgment within established guidelinesPreferred QualificationsAssociate degreeWorking knowledge of basic accounting principlesExperience with premium billing, healthcare billing, or related financial processesEligible to work from home subject to management approval** This position requires residency on O?ahu, Hawai?iCompetitive compensation & excellent benefits offeredVisit our website at uhahealth.com/page/career-opportunities to apply and for details about vacant positions.An Equal Opportunity Employer
