Preceptor - Family Medicine (Smiley's Clinic)

Job Summary

Providing clinical instruction and oversight of medical residents and medical students in ambulatory clinic, hospital, and other training sites. Deliver didactic instruction through seminars, lectures, workshops, and grand rounds. Mentor and advise residents and students. Provide patient care within a full‑scope family medicine practice, including obstetrics. Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum. Perform administrative duties such as attending faculty meetings, serving on committees, participating in accreditation reviews, and representing the program at professional and organizational meetings. Support faculty development and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• Required: MD or DO degree; completion of a Family Medicine residency; board certified in Family Medicine; licensed or eligible in Minnesota; board‑eligible or board‑certified; licensed or able to obtain a medical license and DEA registration in Minnesota; meet credentialing and privilege thresholds; ability to obtain U.S. work authorization and maintain legal status.
• Preferred: Lived experience with underserved and underrepresented populations.
