Practice Manager
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 32 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, dependable, and patient-focused Practice Manager to support the daily clinical and administrative operations practice. This individual will work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and the front office team to ensure patients receive efficient, high-quality care.
The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing hands-on clinical responsibilities with practice operations, scheduling, authorizations, documentation, and patient communication. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
• Enter accurate and timely patient visit notes into Tebra.
• Complete Superbills and provide them to the front desk for processing.
• Take X-rays and perform Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) testing as directed.
• Remove sutures and rebandage patients’ feet according to physician orders.
• Assist with patient triage as needed when clinical staff members are occupied with scribing or patient care.
• Assist physicians with in-office surgical procedures.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment and procedure rooms.
• Help ensure patients receive professional, compassionate, and efficient care throughout their visit.
Practice & Administrative Operations
• Monitor clinical and office supplies and place orders as needed.
• Schedule patients for surgical procedures and coordinate necessary pre-operative requirements.
• Obtain insurance authorizations for procedures and surgeries.
• Complete disability and other required patient paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Respond to billing questions and queries, coordinating with appropriate team members when necessary.
• Provide backup phone coverage and assist with patient inquiries.
• Collaborate with the front desk, clinical staff, physicians, and billing team to maintain efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a medical office, specialty practice, or clinical environment preferred.
• Experience with practice management or electronic health record systems. Tebra experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance authorizations, medical billing processes, and patient scheduling preferred.
• Clinical experience with X-rays, ABI testing, wound care, or surgical assistance is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong commitment to patient service, confidentiality, and quality care.
