Sewerage and Water Board Position
Skilled electrical and mechanical work in operating systems and machinery related to power generation, frequency conversion, potable water pumping, raw water pumping, and auxiliary related equipment. Work includes monitoring, operating, routine maintenance and minor repairs of water and sewer pumping and control equipment. Work requires shift assignment including nights, weekends and holidays; and related work as required.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, four years of utility experience with power generation or frequency conversion or water pumping, possession of a valid driver's license, and a Water Production or Distribution Class I license. Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify any education and licenses claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.
