Polish and Inspect / Finish / Buff Associate

Polish And Inspect AssociateSportsman Boats is looking for Polish and Inspect Associates to inspect the surfaces of our boats looking for defects in the fiberglass finish. You will polish, sand, re-coat, and re-finish the surface to perfection. Our schedule is Monday - Thursday, 5:00 a.m.- 3:45 pm.

There are opportunities for overtime based on production needs.What you will do:Inspect boat surfaces for defects such as air bubbles, cuts, cracks, chips, and thickness of fiberglass, etc.Use hand and power tools, sanders, and grinders to repair fiberglass surfacesTrim excess fiberglass from edge of boat hullPolish to perfection using buffers, wax, and towelsComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned.To be considered you must have:Experience and proficiency with basic hand tools, meters, gauges, and power equipment - sanders, buffers, grinders, etc.Ability to understand and follow instructionsStrong attention to detailGood eye sightAbility to bend, stoop, climb in and out of boats and stand for up to 8 hours per dayAbility to work as a team memberAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to meet Sportsman's attendance requirementsAbility to work in fast-paced, ever changing environmentWhy should you consider joining the Sportsman team?We promote from within on a regular and consistent basisEvery employee is offered lean manufacturing and 5s trainingSportsman Boats is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
