PLS (Virginia)

SNI's client, a well?established organization is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Virginia to provide leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for its Survey department as a Survey Manager.
This role is ideal for a seasoned survey professional who excels in managing teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high?quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple survey crews and technical staff, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient project execution.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation for the Virginia Survey department.
• Develop, implement, and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations governing survey practices.
• Collaborate with internal client service teams to support and promote survey capabilities.
• Mentor and develop survey personnel, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional surveying experience .
• Associate degree in Surveying or a related field preferred.
• Active Virginia Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required .
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high?quality work within scope, schedule, and budget.

Compensation and Benefits:
