Job Summary
Must be able to work independently as necessary
Create, Modify, and test PLC code
Change ladder logic in PLC program
Setup HMI screens make changes to HMI screens
Program drives and other electronic components
This position may involve travel to Mountville branch locations.
Install, troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment (including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems) such as mills, HVAC, roofs, chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, etc.
Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment
Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures when necessary
Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for industrial machinery or equipment and measuring instruments
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Use electric meters, a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties
Initiate corrective and preventative action within the scope of your responsibility
Be a catalyst of positive change to improve mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).
Use CMMS system to track and gather information on maintenance activities.
Keep work area and tools clean and orderly
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
Job Requirements
Allen-Bradley PLC experience RSLogix500, Studio5000
Ability to travel to other branch locations, sometimes on short notice
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Two (2) years of PLC programming experience is required, five (5) or more years of experience preferred
Associates degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
Mechanical ability to complete tasks such as replacing motors, repairing plumbing issues, etc.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Capable of working flexible hours, overtime when necessary
Knowledge of 5S or Lean manufacturing principles a plus
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge desired
Experience with CMMS software
Ability to perform multiple tasks
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
