Onsite Full Time Finance

Seeking a high-caliber Plant Controller to lead all financial and accounting operations for a specialty materials manufacturing site - applications across aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial sectors. With annual revenue around $60-70M, this is bolt-on is well run and they are seeking someone that can quickly learn from the outgoing finance leader as they transition over the next few months.

Reporting to Corporate Financial Leadership, this individual will act as the primary strategic business partner to the General Manager. The Plant Controller will manage the site finance team(5), maintain strict compliance and internal controls, and actively drive site profitability, cash flow optimization, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all plant accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closes, financial reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting.
  • Serve as a key operational business partner to the Site General Manager to identify opportunities for margin growth and enhanced financial performance.
  • Ensure total site compliance with US GAAP, corporate financial guidelines, local regulatory frameworks, and trade/tax regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce strong internal control systems to safeguard business assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage site working capital, liquidity, and cash flow strategy.
  • Coordinate and oversee site-level internal and external audits.
  • Evaluate capital investment opportunities, prepare business cases, assess risk, manage foreign exchange considerations, and support commercial quoting.
  • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities, including digital transformation and automation within the finance function.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or similar)
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with significant background in manufacturing environments and cost accounting.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive expertise in US GAAP, internal controls, financial modeling, budgeting, and audit management.
  • Systems: Hands-on experience with major enterprise ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams, partner effectively with plant management, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Preferred Credentials: CPA or MBA is strongly preferred.

Salary is commensurate of exp, but 145-165k is the sweet spot. Could be higher for the right person/profile. Bonus, benefits, and windfall payout potential.

The company is based about 45 minutes south of the MSP area and they do offer some flexibility, but are primarily onsite (sign-on bonus for relo available). Corporate HQ is out East.
