The Pipeline Project Engineer develops and applies broad knowledge and skills in various natural gas workstreams, independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform pipeline projects.

Projects range in size and complexity from small to large, including both distribution and transmission type projects. The Pipeline Project Engineer acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields and can function as a member or Lead of multidisciplinary teams. This is a hybrid work schedule!Consideration for an Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering6-10 years relevant experiencePE is Preferred.Working knowledge of CAD and GIS softwareTechnical communicationProficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPointUtility business understandingValid Driver's licenseKnowledge of Code of Federal Regulations Title 42 Part 192As a Pipeline Project Engineer with Kleinfelder, you will be expected to:Prepare pipeline designs, including calculations, drawings, profiles, details, layouts, and studies from field inspections, preliminary sketches, specifications, and instructions requiring knowledge of engineering practices and shop and field proceduresPrepare pipeline and facility designs, including the review of designs and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and design criteriaAcquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methodsGas system network and hydraulic analysisConstruction specification and bid package preparationPipeline design and material selectionAlternative/Feasibility studiesDevelop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges, and solutionsWork closely with other workgroups at our clients' place of business and Kleinfelder officesCoordinate various inspection and testing methods, gather data, analyze, and report findingsCoordinate and project management of internal resources and subcontractorsDemonstrate sound engineering judgmentAssign tasks to and coordinate with drafting and administrative staffAssign tasks to and coordinate work of Associate Engineers and technicians or administrative staff within teamProvide guidance, instruction, and coaching to entry-level and other EngineersAssist in determining schedule & budget requirementsSupport business development and marketing initiativesFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.Move Forward with Kleinfelder: Kleinfelder and its' subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
