Job Description

Ochsner Children's Hospital is seeking an experience Physician Leader with a vision and passion to serve as the Section Head for Pediatric Anesthesiology to lead our team of seven Pediatric Anesthesiology faculty for practice at our new freestanding Ochsner Children's Hospital set to open in 2028. The successful applicant will have a history of leadership experience and a verifiable track record of patient-centered collaboration with surgical specialists. Our pediatric anesthesiology practice includes all subspecialties and spans the spectrum from healthy outpatients to complex neonatal surgery. Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in academics and research. We are a teaching program, with a fully accredited Anesthesiology residency as well as Adult Cardiac Anesthesia, Pulmonary Critical Care and Neurocritical Care fellowship programs. We are in the process of applying for accreditation of a Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship. The OMC Department of Anesthesiology includes 70 Anesthesiologists, 100 CRNA's, and >45 house staff, and an annual case volume of >80,000.
