Job Duties
Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest cavity. Perform surgical procedures, including valve replacement, aortic valve replacement, and heart‑lung transplants. Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral. Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients’ family concerning treatment and care of patients.
