- formulating accurate diagnoses and developing treatment plans
- ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- administering treatments and procedures within expertise and regulatory guidelines
- educating and counseling patients and families on health, disease prevention, and health promotion
- documenting all patient care activities thoroughly.
The role emphasizes patient advocacy, teamwork, safety, confidentiality, and culturally-sensitive care. It requires maintaining clinical competence through ongoing education, adhering to legal and organizational policies, and participating in quality assurance. The position also involves supervising and mentoring colleagues, managing telehealth encounters, and responding to emergencies.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing for APNs or Bachelors degree and accreditation for PAs
- Relevant state licensure and certification, including BLS, NPI, and DEA registration
- Must obtain credentialing and, if applicable, certifications like ACLS within specified timelines
