About the Opportunity
nHawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated per diem Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team on the island of Oahu.
nWhat You’ll Do:
n· Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, managing a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
n· Perform rapid clinical assessments, stabilize critically ill or injured patients, and initiate timely, life-saving interventions in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
n· Manage airway and respiratory emergencies, including performing intubation and utilizing advanced resuscitation techniques, in collaboration with supervising physicians.
n· Diagnose and treat trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other emergent conditions, ensuring prompt and effective patient care.
n· Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary hospital teams to coordinate care and facilitate transfers to higher-level or specialized services on Oahu when needed.
n· Support a high-volume emergency department with approximately 37,000 annual patient visits.

Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)

· Preferred: At least 1 year experience as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in specialty
