Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
Responsibilities
- Assist in CABG and open heart surgeries with comprehensive surgical support
- Perform valve repair and replacement procedures
- Conduct EVH/vein harvesting with demonstrated independent ability
- Handle SFA exposure and sternotomy closure procedures
- Provide critical care management in cardiovascular ICU setting
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Operate and manage Impella devices
- Perform endoscopic radial artery harvesting
- Execute chest tube placement procedures
- Perform arterial and venous sheath placement
- Conduct central venous line placement
- Handle approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
Qualifications
- Licensed in Tennessee only
- Board certification required with ACLS certification
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
