Hamilton Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Detroit, MI. What You'll Do:
- Assist with implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve residents' strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and strategies to support continued progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all clinical, facility, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Michigan
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rehabilitation team
