Performance Test Lead (GCP)Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)Duration: 5+ Month Contract (Potential Extension)Summary: We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to lead performance testing and optimization for a cloud-native healthcare application. This role will define performance strategy, identify system bottlenecks, and ensure high application performance for critical user workflows while leading a team of Performance Engineers.Responsibilities:Lead performance testing strategy for GCP-based applications.Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.Analyze performance across microservices, APIs, databases (including Cloud Spanner), and cloud infrastructure.Identify bottlenecks and recommend performance improvements.Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 Performance Engineers.Partner with development, DevOps, and architecture teams to improve application performance.Present performance metrics and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.Required Qualifications:10+ years of Performance Testing/Engineering experience.Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Hands-on experience with LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE), JMeter, or Gatling.Strong experience with cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, and performance analysis.Experience with GCP observability and performance tuning.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Previous experience leading performance testing teams in enterprise environments, preferably healthcare or financial services.
