Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatrician to join the region's largest team of board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and specialists. Practice Info
- Department includes 24 general pediatricians across 4 clinic sites
- Dedicated pediatric urgent care, staffed by 6 pediatricians and 2 pediatric nurse practitioners
- Typical patient load is 18-24 patients a day
- No newborn or hospital work
- Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Sanford Medical Center houses a 12-bed PICU, with additional flex beds if needed, a 20-24 bed pediatric unit, and a 40-bed Level III NICU
Responsibilities
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients from birth to young adulthood (21 years of age) concerning their physical, emotional, and social health
- Treat acute and chronic disease, including major complicated illnesses
- Provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies
- Assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services

Requirements
- BC/BE Pediatrician
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Pediatric program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/sub-specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
