Pediatric Intensivist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist to join their pediatric inpatient and critical care team at Summerville Medical Center, located just 30 minutes from Charleston, South Carolina. This role offers a flexible call schedule to support work-life balance and includes teaching opportunities with a family medicine residency program. Practice Info

• 6-bed PICU
• Level III NICU support
• Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
• Teaching opportunities with a family medicine residency program
• Onsite subspecialty support: Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia
• Summerville Medical Center is a 124-bed acute-care hospital with South Carolina's busiest Pediatric ER (19K+ visits in 2024)

Responsibilities

• Join the pediatric inpatient and critical care team
• Provide Level III NICU support
• Conduct telephone consults with a quaternary care center 45 minutes away
• Manage inpatient pediatric floor and ER consults
• Perform in-house days and home call at night
• Participate in teaching a family medicine residency program
• Perform procedures including intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, and CPR

Requirements

• Experienced Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist
• BC Pediatrics
• BE/BC Pediatric Critical Care
• At least 1-2 years of post graduate experience
