Pediatric Hospitalist

Overview

The Nemours Cardiac Center of the Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware is looking for a qualified pediatric hospitalist to join our cardiac stepdown unit. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position; schedule is flexible and coordinated with APPs and cardiology fellows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized care to cardiac patients in the CICU and cardiac stepdown unit.
• Work alongside advanced practice providers (APPs) and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers.
• Participate in daytime, nighttime, weekend, and holiday shifts, with potential moonlighting opportunities on an “as needed” basis. Approximately 33% of shifts will be off shifts (nights and weekends).
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, and other trainees.
• Contribute to academic initiatives in research, education, quality improvement, or operations.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent clinical doctoral degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Residency Program
• Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatric Medicine
• Eligibility to obtain valid DEA and Medical licensure in the state of Delaware
• An academic record commensurate with appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor
