Pediatric Gastroenterologist

Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's is seeking a dedicated faculty member to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology. This full-time position specializes in Motility Disorders and includes a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics. • Division of Gastroenterology with specialization in Motility Disorders
• The division has established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship
• The Voelker Clinical Research Center provides assistance for interested faculty who wish to pursue clinical research

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory and inpatient care
• Deliver consultative services
• Perform general GI procedures
• Participate in the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology
• Provide outpatient clinical care for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders
• Provide inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders
• Perform general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures (e.g., upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures)

Requirements

• M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent
• Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent)
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
• Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible for same)
