Practice Info

• Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 20 APPs at Frederick Health Hospital.
• Work alongside a Clinical Performance nurse and comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, and case management.
• Opportunity to work with medical students, APPs, and residents from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
• Accountable, on-site leadership featuring a local medical director supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
• Stable, well-staffed teams aligned on a patient-first culture of excellence with less reliance on premium temp labor.
• Annual ED volume is 16K with an average of 3 inpatients to round on per day.
• Integration with Sound Physicians’ hospitalist, observation, adult EM, and critical care teams for smooth throughput and a low LWBS rate of less than 3%.
• Magnet-status accredited facility with fully staffed nursing.
• Cutting-edge facilities include point-of-care ultrasound in the ED, an ED pharmacist, and dedicated ED social work and case management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for covering 9 beds in the ED and 5 inpatient beds.

Compensation

• W2 rates equivalent to $167/hour days; $177/hour nights.

Qualifications

• Board certified/board eligible pediatrician with emergency medicine experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
