We are looking for an energetic, warm, and highly organized Front Office Receptionist who loves working with children and parents to join our dedicated team!
Role Overview
As the Front Office Receptionist, you are the heart and face of our practice. You will be the very first impression our patients and families have when they step through our doors or call our office. Your primary focus will be creating a positive, comforting atmosphere, keeping daily schedules running smoothly, and ensuring administrative tasks are handled with accuracy and care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient & Family Experience
- Warmly greet patients and parents upon arrival, creating an inviting, kid-friendly environment.
- Answer incoming phone calls with enthusiasm, answering patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Help children and parents feel relaxed and comfortable while waiting.
Administrative & Front Desk Operations
- Manage daily appointment scheduling to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all demographic and health history forms are complete and updated.
- Manage incoming patient records, referrals, and administrative correspondence.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Financial & Insurance Coordination
- Verify patient dental insurance coverage and benefits prior to scheduled appointments.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and patient payments at check-out.
- Clearly explain treatment plan costs, payment options, and insurance details to parents.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Minimum 1–2 years of administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience (dental or medical office experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and young children.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computers, practice management software, and general office equipment.
Preferred
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental insurance verification processes.
- Bilingual capabilities (a plus!).
