During introductory period of 90 days, training will be from 9am-5pm EST.
This is a Hybrid position working up to 2 days per week in our Rockville, MD office. Occasional weekends for processing Holiday payroll.How You'll Contribute: We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the Payroll Assistant is responsible for:Processes the records for hours worked by employees in accordance with policy & procedures. Ensures hours are reported accurately and follows up on any discrepancies.Supports payroll processing to include building imports, heavy auditing, making updates in the HRIS system and payroll reconciliation.Works closely with the Benefits team to ensure proper administration of all benefits.Completes HRIS configuration related to new earnings, new deductions, new locations, new departments, etc. with appropriate GL mapping for accounting purposes.Assists with all new payroll tax setups and registrations for all EINs under US Fertility.Provides support for quarter and year end processing.Supports various audits from a payroll perspective including workers compensation and 401(k).Leverages BI reporting skills to fulfill ad hoc report requests as well as ongoing departmental needs as required.Recommends ongoing payroll training opportunities to support our team members and managers.Continuously reviews and updates payroll procedures and SOP's.What You'll Bring: A degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school OR two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.2+ years experience of UKG HRIS experience2-4 years of previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role processing multi-state full-cycle payrollsProficient knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.Understanding of fundamental accounting and human resources concepts.Extensive knowledge of computer software (MS Office, Windows) and basic computer skills; previous experience with HRIS and Payroll systems a plusExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships.Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building.Strong customer service and results orientation; highly responsive to requests.Excellent verbal & written communication skills.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.Flexibility and willingness to learn at all timesExcellent multi-tasking abilitiesMore important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
