As a Patient Financial Counselor, you will play a critical role in helping patients understand their financial responsibilities, navigate payment options, and access the resources they need with confidence and dignity.In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted resource for patients, families, physicians, and care teams by coordinating all aspects of financial obligations for private-pay patients. Through exceptional customer service and proactive problem-solving, you will help create a positive experience that supports both patient satisfaction and organizational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage all aspects of patient financial obligations for private-pay accountsProvide clear communication and education regarding financial responsibilities, payment options, and estimated costs of careCalculate, communicate, and collect patient deposit estimates in accordance with organizational policiesPartner with physicians, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to address patient financial concerns and facilitate resolutionsRespond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring issues are documented and resolved effectivelyBuild positive relationships with patients and families by providing empathetic, customer-centered supportContribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance service, processes, and patient experienceProvidence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued – they're invaluable.
