Pathologist

An Assistant Professor, non-tenure earning, application is invited for a pathology faculty position to be principally located at our community based health system practice in Montgomery, AL. The successful candidate will be a dynamic pathologist with excellent general surgical pathology and communication skills. This is a busy service supporting the three hospital Baptist Health System in Montgomery as well as the affiliated Montgomery Cancer Center. There is opportunity for the teaching of house staff and undergraduate health professional students at the main campus and at the branch campus of The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in Montgomery. Collaborative research opportunities are available in conjunction with subspecialty pathologists at the main UAB campus. Minimum requirements include an MD or DO degree, license to practice in Alabama, and board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Additional subspecialty certification in hematopathology and/or cytopathology is preferred. This is an outstanding opportunity to blend the best of community and academic pathology in a multi-person group practice.
