Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property and Technology Division in Denver, CO. The role involves drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, providing patentability assessments, and assisting with freedom to operate and due diligence assessments.

Duties

• Draft and globally prosecute patent applications.
• Coordinate with foreign law firms for patent filings.
• Maintain client patent portfolios and manage deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients for document processing and legalization.
• Meet annual billable hour requirement of 1650 hours.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience managing patent prosecution docket.
• Ability to collaborate with partners and legal staff.
• Law firm or in-house IP experience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar field.

Certifications

• U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
