Paralegal Studies Certificate Program EducatorThe Office of Professional Advancement is seeking qualified part-time Program Educators for the Paralegal Studies Certificate Program. We are looking for experienced legal professionals who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and preparing students for success in the legal field.Minimum QualificationsApplicants must possess:A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in good standing with a state bar association; Florida Bar membership preferredA minimum of 10 years of professional legal and/or teaching experienceDemonstrated expertise in one or more areas of legal practice, such as:Civil litigationLegal research and writingContract lawFamily lawReal estate lawCriminal lawProbate and estate planningImmigration lawBusiness lawExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishPreferred qualifications include:Practicing attorneys and/or sitting or retired judges, with Florida legal experience strongly preferredExperience teaching adult learners in professional, continuing education, or higher education settingsFamiliarity with legal technology, legal databases, and current legal proceduresResponsibilitiesProgram Educators are responsible for:Delivering engaging and interactive instruction in paralegal studies and legal practiceTeaching legal research, legal writing, case analysis, and procedural conceptsFacilitating practical learning activities, assignments, and participant assessmentsProviding mentoring, guidance, and constructive feedback to participantsMaintaining current knowledge of legal trends, ethics, and professional standardsSupporting participant professional growth and career readiness in the legal fieldAdditional RequirementsReliable internet access and the ability to teach remotely via ZoomStrong presentation, facilitation, and organizational skillsAbility to effectively engage adult learners in an online learning environmentThese are part-time staff positions.
