Paraeducator at Fridley Middle School- Hallway MonitorFridley Public Schools, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools district, is seeking a Paraeducator for Fridley Middle School. This position involves direct interaction with students for activities according to district-approved curriculum and teacher-approved plans for student management and inclusion.
The role requires 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. The salary range is from $22.50 to $26.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to relate to and communicate with staff and students, patience and flexibility in working with special needs students, willingness to expand skills, and the ability to take direction from supervising teachers. Confidentiality and modeling appropriate behavior are also required.Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the Minnesota Department of Education, Fridley Public Schools must meet highly qualified requirements. Therefore, upon hire, all hires must be Highly Qualified. This includes two years of study at an institution of higher education, a minimum of 60 semester credits, or an associate's degree, and a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.Physical requirements include talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
