Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy Ambulatory Surgery Center (Seattle)

Job Overview

We are seeking five dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our high-performing, fast-paced team in an outpatient endoscopy setting. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, end-to-end patient care across pre-op, intra-procedure, and PACU recovery. Working alongside a collaborative team of 5 Providers and 8 RNs, you will manage a high-volume schedule of approximately thirty 30-minute cases per day, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Deliver end-to-end patient care across pre-op, intra-procedure, and PACU recovery phases.
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures while strictly maintaining aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • Patient Monitoring: Actively monitor vital signs, sedation levels, and patient responses to ensure optimal safety and quality care during fast-paced, 30-minute cases.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, post-operative recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe, compassionate, and highly efficient clinical environment while adhering strictly to ambulatory surgery center protocols and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA). (Note: Certifications must be completed prior to permanent conversion).
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care management, and aseptic techniques.
  • Core Competencies: Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff in a collaborative team structure.

Preferred

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a Pre-Op or PACU environment.
  • Setting: Prior experience working within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
  • Specialty: Previous clinical exposure to endoscopy procedures is a plus but not required.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Shift Structure: Four 10-hour shifts (4x10 schedule), Monday through Friday.
  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Lifestyle Perks: No on-call hours, no night shifts, and no holiday shifts.
  • Pay Range: $40.00 – $56.65 per hour (dependent on experience).
  • Location: On-site in Seattle, WA (98103).
