Packer – 3rd Shift

ABR Employment Services is seeking packaging workers for 3rd shift position at a plastics manufacturer in Elkhart, IN. These are entry level positions for candidates with strong work history. Shifts: 10PM to 6AM, Monday through Friday Wage: $18.80 an hour Packaging duties:

• Inspect and pack product to quality specifications and standards.
• Apply bag labels to identify product.
• Verify material for disposal and regrind.
• Identify and communicate quality deviations or nonconforming product.
• Read product drawings and perform product measurements.
• Follow good manufacturing practices
• Participate in safety programs
• Follow all established safety procedures
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work area clean at all times.

Minimum qualifications Ability to read, write and speak English at a defined proficiency level to meet training, safety and quality requirements. HS diploma or GED required. Manufacturing experience preferred Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs of product. Under 10lbs often and 11-30lbs occasionally.
