Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced OB-GYN Hospitalist Medical Director to launch and lead a brand-new OB-GYN Hospitalist program at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, CA. - Launching a brand-new OB-GYN Hospitalist program at Sequoia Hospital
- Team Structure: 1 Medical Director + 4 OB-GYN Hospitalists
- Scope of Practice: OB and GYN triage and surgery, Labor & delivery management, Obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, Inpatient consults
- Hospital Deliveries: about 1,200 births annually
- Clinical Environment: 24-hour in-house anesthesia, Interventional radiology, Level II NICU with Medical Director support from Stanford Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaboration with Stanford specialists
- Team-based care alongside experienced community OB/GYNs and nursing staff
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the OB-GYN hospitalist team
- Lead program development, including workflows, protocols, and team culture
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and community OB/GYNs
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of hospitalist providers
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
Compensation
- Annual compensation is $312,000 - $438,000
- Medical Director stipend is $25,000
- Potential relocation assistance and sign-on bonus

Shift & Schedule

Requirements
- Board-certified OB-GYN
- Active California license (or ability to obtain)
- 5 years of clinical experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
- Passion for building programs, mentoring providers, and driving clinical excellence
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
