Nursing Manager

Position: Nurse Manager

Location: Manassas, VA

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed and notify the Director of Nursing and Administrator when appropriate.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and report on resident status and other relevant matters.
• Review 24-hour reports with nurses and supervisors as needed.
• Oversee and coordinate daily staff assignments.
• Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for new employees.
• Ensure quality care and support for residents while following applicable policies and regulations
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Extensive experience working with residents with dementia.
• Knowledge of the physical and emotional needs of the elderly population.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and general computer systems.
• Ability to safely perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
