Clinical Educator – Part Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a février, part‑time Clinical Educator for fiturour Healthcare Pathways team. The roleKWK focuses on delivering excellence in our mission to care for Kupuna. The Clinical Educator supervises care provided by Practical Nursing students (approximately 8‑10 students per group) during clinical rotations across various Healthcare Pathway programs and partnerships. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring students provide care in accordance with nursing best practices, OPH policies and procedures, quality improvement guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with OPH staff to facilitate student learning.
  • Directing, instructing, and guiding students in the clinical setting.
  • Facilitating the development of students’ critical thinking, technical,ventures, and professional communication skills.
  • Delegating appropriate nursing functions to students in accordance with their level of education and demonstrated competency.

Qualifications

  • Current Hawaii Registered Nurse in good standing.
  • B.S. in Nursing from an accredited school or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a registered or practical nurse in acute/post‑acute care, rehabilitative nursing, home health, or related setting.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and initiate follow‑through with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication kernels—writing clearly and concisely.
  • Dual employment with University of Hawaii Maui College will require a separate application with UHMC.
