nThe University of Minnesota Physiciansisseeking aCertified Nurse Practitionerora Certified Physician Assistantto join our Infectious Disease and International Medicine Division practice in in Minneapolis.
nIn This Role, You Will:
nBe responsible for inpatient only duties at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East and Riverside campuses in collaboration with an academic service including attending physicians, residents and students.
nCoordinate patient care as a part of and in conjunction with the IDIM inpatient team.
nProvide new consultations in collaboration with IDIM attending physicians.
nBe responsible for follow-up of infectious disease consultations in collaboration with the care team.
nProvide consistent resources for the inpatient service and patients.
nGeneralID and solid organ transplant ID
nInpatient consultsandfollow up visitsfor patients at all levels of acuity, including ICU.Formulateappropriateinfection-relateddischargeand monitoringplansfororal andoutpatientIV antimicrobials(OPAT).

nWe're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
nA graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
nEligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
nLicensed or eligible to obtain a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Nursing (NPs).
nAble to meet thresholdcriteria/qualificationsfor credentialing and privileges.
nWhat Could Set You Apart?
nMinimum of one-year of experience in infectious disease, hospital medicine or other relevant acute care experience as an APRN or PA.

nThe inpatient service of the Infectious Disease and International Medicine Division provides consultative services as a part of the multidisciplinary care team to diagnose, treat, and prevent a broad spectrum of infectious diseases. Frequently encountered diagnoses include blood stream infections, infective endocarditis, fungal, intra-abdominal, joint, and post-operative infections. The department also provides specialized transplant infectious disease care in collaboration with surgical teams involved with the University's Transplant Center.

nThe full-time salary range is $137,366 - $ 168,454 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
